Christian Marriage Prayer Request Roberto and Sharon Marin

Christian Marriage Prayer Request: I am asking kindly for you to pray for the restoration of the Marin Marriage. We have been married only a short time. We have a 7 month old baby, Robin, and one on the way. You see, I devastated my husband when he found out that I had lied to him about my age; I am two years older. I had also been jealous and not kind to him. My actions were derogatory.

He graduated with his PhD in Chemistry from Ohio Univ in Nov 2009. Our baby girl was born in Oct of 2009. He came to Texas because I am a teacher in the Houston area. We were making plans and organizing ourselves. Part of those plans were (as my husband led me) for me to start my PhD program at Texas A&M in the Fall of 2010. I was accepted and given a $86K Fellowship along with a graduate Assistantship. Roberto also wanted to obtain a post doctoral position at TAMU. So my other prayer request is for his post doc position - that God will give him great favor at TAMU so that our family will be unified geographically and spiritually.

My offenses were grave and the consequences are hurting. I have sought God on a daily basis several times a day praying for much needed change in my attitude and actions. Instead of blaming my husband, I take responsibility for my actions and am turning to God to get a new direction. I know that God has forgiven me and is giving me a new spirit and new found strengths. God is calling me to be a Proverbs 31 woman.

My husband basically never calls and hardly writes me. Of course this hurts me deeply. His coldness is not solving problems. Robin and I have traveled a few times to Ohio to visit Roberto. He basically is consumed with his investigations and publishing his articles. He is still very hurt and does not trust me. He has been gone since February 11, 2010.

Please agree with me in prayer, friends, for the restoration of this marriage, for the divine gift of forgiveness and letting go, and for physical unification of the Marin family with a post doctoral position at Texas A&M in College Station, Texas - because this is where I will be for my PhD. (and Roberto also desired to be at TAMU). We are asking for God's favor. I am asking that God will cut asunder the time for Roberto to return to us and be unified once again - but THIS TIME with respect, LOVE, no jealosy but CONFIDENCE AND TRUST with each other. In other words, Roberto will NOT return to the same old Sharon. But I, too, need Roberto to love me as Christ loves the Church.

Yes, many requests -- all we put in God's Trust knowing that God created us and loves us. He fights for the family because HE IS THE AUTHOR of the family. To God be the Glory - not us. The restoration of this marriage is serving as testimony of how GOOD our God is and how faithful He is to those who trust in HIM.
