![]() Do opposites attract?
Yes, they do. The two of us are living proof of that. At one point in our lives, we might not have thought so. But today, the two of us whole heartedily agree that opposites really do attract. Here are a few of the ways in which we are opposites: ![]() We were each raised in cities that are on completely opposite ends of the spectrum, Baltimore, Maryland and Rome, Georgia
Baltimore is a fairly large city with a population of nearly 700,000 people. While Rome is a much smaller rural area with a population of nearly 35,000. One of us was accustomed to everything being fast paced, and loud. While the other was accustomed to a slower pace, and saying "yes maam" and "no sir".
The fact that one of us is from the South and the other from the North meant that we had more differences than we had similarities; we even had different diets. Seafood was the most consumed meal in Baltimore, while soulfood was the daily preference in Rome.
On top of all of that, we were born in two different decades. That's right, one of us was born in the sixties and the other in the seventies. One of us has children and was previously married, the other has no biological children and had never been married previously. Do opposites attract? Yes! ![]() So, if you're married to someone who is the complete opposite of you, don't think it strange. Embrace your differences, hug hard, love just as hard, and forgive quickly. You may fall from time to time but as long as you make Christ the center of your relationship, the two of you will always have a soft place to land. Read About Our Marriage Mistakes |
