I want children and my husband has decided that he does not: My husband and I have been married for 2 years. Each of us came into our marriage with one child each from prior relationships. At the outset of our marriage we agreed that we would have one child together. Recently he has told me that he wishes to wait indefinitely on having children due to financial concerns. I am 37 years old and would like to begin expanding our family now. I am praying that we are able to find some middle ground because this disagreement has caused a wedge in our relationship.

I really feel for you.
I'm in a similar situation, remarried two years ago, and my husband was clear that he wanted us to have children. I have a teen son from my first marriage, and was truly looking forward to having another child. But after we got married, he changed his mind, decided it was not for him, and has been working abroad for the last 15 months. He calls every day but does not want any part of family life. I'm left here wanting desperately to be pregnant but it can't happen.
