I want my ex-husband back

by Hurting Wife
(Texas)

I want my ex-husband back: My husband of 36 years divorced me 1 1/2 years ago because he met someone else. Their relationship has been very rocky with them spending about as much time apart as together. A few months ago she moved to a town that is several hours away and I know they had no contact for a couple of months, by her choice, not his. I was relieved and hoped it was all over. Apparently he just took a few days off work to visit her. I only know what my ex has told me about her but she is New Age, not Christian, sets a very bad moral example for her teen daughter and the daughter has some serious problems as a result. She controls my ex and thrives on it and he still wants to believe that she is wonderful. She kicked him out of her home several times, and tried to sue him because he took things that belonged to him before he even met her. She claimed they were gifts. I have never met or communicated with her in any way but she sent me ugly emails and set up a myspace page on which she called me by name and made threats about what she would do to me if I didn't let my husband go. It was so bad that I reported her to myspace and they quickly made her take it down. But my husband still couldn't see what kind of woman she was. He only claimed that myspace is "silly" while refusing to see that only a very sick person would post such threats online for anyone to see. The divorce and his relationship with her destroyed not only our marriage but our beautiful family consisting of our children and grandchildren. My ex's family and some of our kids have met this woman and none of them like her. I ask that you pray for this relationship to end completely and that God will show my husband what he has thrown away. Pray that he will see this woman for what she truly is. I love him so much and I want our marriage and family to be restored and be made even stronger than it was. Pray God will open his eyes to what she really is before he throws his life away any more than he already has. I fear that he would even quit his job and move to where she is and leave his kids, grandkids, and his elderly parents heartbroken. Please pray he will see who is really important in his life and not further pursue a doomed relationship. I know God will never bless a relationship that began with adultery and the deliberate destruction of a family.
