I'm Married to an Addict

by Stacie
(Greeneville, TN)

I'm Married to an Addict: I'm a mother of a two year old and I'm expecting my second child in April, after having a miscarriage 5 months ago. My husband and I have been together 2 years and married almost one year. We have already tried a < href="http://www.christian-marriage-today.com/christian-marriage-separation.html">trial separation once due to him using drugs and violence. I stand firm on the Word and do not believe God intends for me to receive such treatment from a man who obviously loves his drugs more than his family. I'm at a place were I keep standing still and I know God will come through, but the standing gets hard, especially with him still using drugs. I've tried to get him to get some help without medication because medication and it's never an option for him. I'm tired of fighting for something that he doesn't care about. He blames everyone else for his mistakes. His mom, dad, and two bothers are no longer in communication with him. He signed rights away to one daughter and doesn't talk with his son. I told him more or less I was done this time. I did what I thought God would have me do the first time, but don't know now. I just want to be in the will of the Lord. I'm my child's voice I know and I want to be the right voice for him.

Thanks and God Bless
Stacie

TRUST IN THE LORD WHOLE HEARTEDLY
by: Beryl

Yes it is hard. My husband was an addict as well. Through God's grace, he was saved and washed in his blood. Remain standing in the gap for your husband. You are the only one that can pull him out of where he is. Pray this: Lord take his mind captive. Cover him under your blood. Anoint him from his head to his souls of his feet. Cut off the spirit of narcotics, anger, disagreement, etc. Lord untie him and loosen him and set him free. Bring him back on the road of righteousness. Amen
