Just as it is discussed within the confines of counseling, it should also be discussed privately between an engaged couple. A couple who is planning to get married needs to openly discuss everything from money, having children, sex, and a lot more.

Prior to marriage, discussions of sex should be for informational purposes only and NOT as a means of becoming aroused or arousing the other person -- that would be wrong. There is no sin in discussing sex unless your motivations are lustful or impure. Other than that, talking about sex prior to marriage can be beneficial for your future life together.

Here's one small caveat: A marriage is comprised of a lot more than just sex. Therefore, there is no need for an engaged couple to discuss sex on a regular basis. A desire to engage in such conversations regularly is a good indicator of lust.
