Love Poem
Her Husband's Heart


As she sleeps I even think of her now,
Resting many thoughts that have plagued her somehow.

I think of how I broke her heart,
And all that's been done to set us apart.
Apart from my love who has been there for me,
Trying to make me notice what I didn't want to see.

Now that I see I pray she'll return,
For this love for her more strongly will burn.
Burn with a fire that once started so strong,
That all who felt it knew we belong.
Belong to each other through the good times and rough, knowing the ones who last are the ones who are tough.

Tough we have proven to be once upon a time,
Through God's love, each other we can find.
