Marriage Restoration from Separation: Pleas Lord help our family in this crisis...please enlighten my husband Tony who is very angry after my in-laws bad mouthed me to him and he now wants a divorce. We have loved each other for 17 years. Our 3 kids are begging him to come back to us when he comes back on January he will decide..please open his heart..enlighten his mind and show him lead him back to us and be happy family again...Thank you Lord..Beth

Beth, Hold no grudges against your in-laws. Ask God to help you forgive them and your spouse. When you begin to focus on Christ and speak the word over your situation, God begins to change the situation and you. You can't bring your husband back only God can do that. Allow the word of God to saturate your life. Apply the blood of Jesus to your situation. Ask God to give you wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in this situation. Read and study scriptures that instruct you on how to respond in this situation. 1 Corinthians 13:1-13; Ephesians 5:22-24; 1 Peter 3:1-6 and 2 Chronicles 20:1-30; psalm 34:4,8,17,and 19; Psalm 37:1-40 are scriptures that will encourage you. This battle isn't yours; it's the Lord's if you allow Him to fight His way. Be patient and be blessed in this trial. You are being tried in the fire, but you'll be purified as pure gold if you believe and apply God's instructions not only in this situation but in all situations. Place your total trust in God. Don't criticize your husband in front of your children. Teach them to be respectful at all times. Everyone will benefit from this display of respect on your part. I'll pray for you as the Lord leads.
