My 27 year marriage is failing

My 27 year marriage is failing: My husband and I have been married 27 years. He wants a divorce due to feeling controlled and disrespected. He also had a brief affair a year ago that he regrets. He says it ended a long time ago. But he feels he disconnected a long time ago. I always thought we had a strong, although not perfect, marriage. We have two great kids, ages 21 and 24, who are devastated. We started marriage counseling two months ago, but my husband says he is emotionally exhausted and done. Please pray that he desire reconciliation and that he is willing to commit to our marriage. Pray that the church mens' retreat this weekend (April 15-17) will allow him to hear God's voice calling him to return to our marriage. Also pray for peace for he and I and our children. He has always been a wonderful Christian man. He has a lot of job and financial stress, and I have begged and pushed him to work on the marriage for the last 9 months. Pray that I did not push him further away by my actions and that his heart will soften and he will want to return to the marriage. Thank you.
