![]() Please pray for my marriage to be restored
by Barbara
I was originally the prodigal spouse. I believed all of the lies from the enemy and had an affair with another man. I eventually moved out of our marital home with our 4 small children into an apartment and planned to proceed with a divorce. About 5 months after I moved out, I started to ask my husband if he wanted to work things out. He said he wanted to keep things the way they were until after my trip in the summer. However, we still did not proceed with a divorce. In July, I was brought to the point of Godly sorrow, when he admitted that during our separation he had been intimate with multiple women. That is when I turned my life over to the Lord and sought his help and will for our marriage and family. It was at the same time, that my husband began a relationship with another woman. It has been 5 months and God has miraculously changed me from such an ugly, selfish woman, into the wife that the bible instructs us to be. I have been crying out to the Lord day and night for Him to intervene, but the road has become more painful than I am able to bear. With no end in sight of this relationship that my husband began 5 months ago, I need more strength and faith to finish what God has begun in me and called me to do, which is to stand in the gap for my husband, our marriage, and our family. Please pray for my husband, our marriage and family to be restored and for myself. Thank you and God bless.
