Please pray for our family and marriage. We are a blended family and it is very stressful especially when my husband loves being called dad but doesn't and can't be the disciplinary for his child. He was here when my children were teens so he was a true father. They loved him and hated him but the kids turned out great.Our problem is this when it comes to his child he isn't at all strict at all with him.His boy was expelled from school because he was on drugs.My husband says and was big bad and tough with my kids but his son did not get grounded did not have any limitations on his life. He didn't get anything taken away. Also, I expect since we've been married for almost 9 years and his son is 17 that he could load the dishwasher once in a while clean a little just like my husband expect my kids to do.I can not get it through my husbands head that he is not a guest here that he should pitch in just like everyone else. I don't mean put him to work when he comes in but come on. He is 17 and lost his job because he didn't feel like even going into work. My husband and I ends up in big fights over this.My husband is so bullheaded and truly does treat his son better than my four.What is crazy is his 2 children treat him like he doesn't exist unless they need bailed out or when the poop hits the fan. Our marriage has taken a real beaten over this. All I want is my husband to see how he is. If I even say anything such as the drug thing about coming down hard on him my husband thinks I'm to harsh. OK. What is harsh the day he dies over drugs or killing someone while driving. Seriously, it has put such a damper on our marriage that we have not talked at all. My mind and heart is really over it. Our sex life is very little because we are fighting more and more and my husband says you can't expect me to have sex with you when we are always fighting.
Please pray for this relationship. I do want it to work but I sincerely need my husband to see with his mind body and spirit how ridiculous easy he is with his children.
