Pray That My Marriage Will Be Strengthened: My husband and I have been married almost 5 years. We have been through a lot of financial strain, job loss, husband went through rehab and is now on disability. I am a teacher, he volunteers at a horse farm. We are members of a church. I really have to watch what I say, and how I say it to him. It seems I never do anything right....he wants us to get counseling. We tried that before and he didn't like the counselor. He goes to a counselor 1x a month. I'm not going to one right now, but am looking. We've been through this so much, it's getting old. I don't want a divorce. He says he is not happy, it's the same old thing....I ask what he wants changed and he never can tell me. He is hardly at home anymore, he's out at the farm. I ask him to do one simple thing and he can't do it. The barn calls him and he jumps up and goes out there. He is very critical of me, hard to live with. But it seems this time of year is always the same. I'm just tired of not being able to simply talk to him. He was so happy when I finally got my job and now he says all I do is drive around as a home bound teacher. He gets what he wants and then he criticizes it. Help!
