Romantic Vacations are Essential for Husbands and Wives
Not planning regular vacations was a big mistake of ours. As unusual as it may seem, my husband was the one who understood the value behind this concept more than I seemed to.
You see, your relationship needs to be fueled just like an automobile needs gas. Uninterrupted quality time together allows you to pour into your spouse and rebuild them in areas where they may have been broken.
Listen, if you don't plan regular vacations, you will soon burn out. Once that happens, your tolerance level diminishes, your temper is short,
and frankly you're not that pleasant to be around.
At such point you have nothing left to give your spouse, your kids, or God. Are you starting to see the importance of rest and relaxation? Time away is not an option,
it's a necessity!
That's right, vacationing is a necessary part of a healthy marriage. So, now that you know how important it is for you and your sweetheart to get away...
Make a promise today that you will do this at least once a year.
But keep in mind, it's not necessary to travel to an exotic location. That's right, it really is possible to plan an inexpensive vacation for just the two of you.
For instance, if you have mutual friends in another town, make plans to house swap for the weekend. That allows you to get away and save money in the process.

This is one of our favorite vacation spots. There's something soothing about relaxing near the water. Whether it's Virginia Beach or the Caribbean -- You can't go wrong!

For an inexpensive getaway, why not stay the night at a local hotel. Take advantage of all their amenities and enjoy the local attractions.
- There's No Place Like Home
Okay...the whole point here is to spend time together. So, it makes no difference whether you're home or away. If money is considerably low, send the kids to grandmas for the weekend and have a STAYcation in the comfort of your home.
- Retreat in the Mountains
- How about a romantic vacation in the mountains? Stay in a log cabin. Cuddle up in front of a log fire and enjoy the simplier things in life.
- Cruise
Sounds expensive but these days taking a cruise is actually very affordable. As you can see by the pictures, we love cruising!

- Rose petals to sprinkle on the bedding
