Standing for My Marriage After Divorce: Please agree with me that God will keep drawing my husband back to Him. Married for 35 years, separated for four before the divorce when my husband started having women friends, telling me since they were only friends, it was ok. He filed for separate maintenance and I counter filed for divorce when he told me he would not give them up, telling me, "you tell me where, in the Bible, it says I can't have dinner with a woman friend?" I know was deceived then (he assures me he has had a born again experience) and he still is, although I can see God is at work on him.
We divorced, and I had to leave my home of 30 years. He got engaged. His life started to fall apart - engagement broken. He kept seeing her however. We were divorced for almost two years, when he encountered a huge medical problem with his upper back/neck area requiring risky surgery. He called me after that and after not talking to me for four years. He came to see me telling me his life is falling apart. He is not showing any repentance yet, in fact, still says he thinks he is in God's will. I told him his heart has not changed yet. But I KNOW THAT NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD IF I WILL ONLY BELIEVE. I know this seems impossible to me, but to God to fix it is a piece of cake! I am committed to my vows and he did tell me he does believe we are still married in God's eyes and I will never give up, as God and I are standing in the gap for my husband to return to us!
