Still want my marriage to work: My husband and I have been married for a year and a half. I love my husband and I feel that I have done just about all that I can do to save our marriage. We are currently separated and I have been heavily leaning towards filing for divorce I have even consulted two attorneys. However, I love my husband more than anything, I have a child from a previous marriage and my husband has really stepped in and taken my son in as his own. The problems with us however have gone from bad to worse, I have been cheated on multiply times, my husband has, a serious lying problem, and gets very angry very quickly. He can be such a good person but, lately he has become someone I don't know. I asked him to move out about a week ago, and I saw him the other day as we had to file our taxes and he was very sad and I can tell he wants to reconcile. I love my husband and want to forgive him for all the lies, cheating, and disrespect but, I can't do it until I know that he has trusted God and allowed God to enter his heart and open his eyes. I am a very good wife (his words) but yet it seems that I can not do enough for this man. I know the bible does allow divorce due to infidelity but, if my husband will open his heart and allow God to work on his spirit I would forgive him and be open to counseling. I need prayer badly.
